There is a healing aspect of the art and it permeates all areas of my life."

Silver Salmon Vertebrae Earrings
White Freshwater pearls set into Silver Skeena River salmon bones, with handmade hammer textured hooks.
The Northern custom of returning the salmon bones to the river is both to show respect and ensure the return of the salmon. The silver Salmon vertebrae were developed as an organic long-term process. After catching a salmon on the Ksyeen River, Morgan collected a few of the vertebrae and cleaned them and dried them in the sun. She was eventually able to do nature casts, and then figured out how to prepare them in silver to be used for different types of jewelry. The lengthy process of cleaning and grinding out holes in each piece allowed her to keep the incredible texture and uniqueness of each vertebrae.

Descendants Earrings
Faces of the Descendants signify the generational continuity of culture and are carved in the style of Ts'msyen Frontlets ( a chief or matriarchs headwear representing high rank). The small faces on these historical frontlets also often signified the cycles of the moon phases and the heavens

Eagle Black Diamond Ring
Eagle is one of the four main crests of the Ts’msyen people. The eagle soars high into the sky, and is therefore considered a sun creature. This classic crest design is accentuated by Oxidization and channel set black diamonds

Collection of the Artist
This design is a collaboration with my father Henry Green, with each silver panel in the style of a traditional Ts’msyen bentwood box. The panels represent the three realms of the Ts’msyen world: sea, land and sky. These are indicated by the eagle and killer whale designs and the bear claws. Bear claws were often used on powerful headdresses worn by shamans.
